We live in a cosy 120 sm mid-row house in a very rural village, which is perfect for a varied relaxing stay in town as well as for a daytrip to all destinations!
The beautiful historic old town of Memmingen is 7 km away where you can find a wide range of cultural events like concerts (jazz/ classic/ famous artists), museums, theatres and sights. Near our village there are a lot of ways to go hiking and discovering nature as well as many medieval oldtowns. In summer you can choose between a number of bathing lakes and outdoor swimming pools. Several bike round trips are worth using our bikes.
It is only 40 mins to the Alps/ Allgäu with all kinds of touristic opportunities, 70 km to the Bodensee, 40 km to Kempten, 60 km to Ulm, 110 km to Munich and 100 km to Augsburg.
Our house has 3 floors with 2 bedrooms (another room with an additional mattress) and a tiny garden. In front of the house there is some room for children for scooter riding, a garage and another parking space. If you wish to use our bikes: you're welcome!

Wir bieten ein gemütliches 120 qm Reihenmittelhaus in einem sehr ländlichen Ort an, der einen abwechslungsreichen und entspannten Aufenthalt in der näheren Umgebung sowie der perfekte Ausgangspunkt ist für Ausflüge in alle Himmelsrichtungen darstellt.
In die schöne historische Altstadt Memmingens sind es 7 km. Wer an Kultur interessiert ist, wird hier vielfach fündig: Klassikkonzerte sowie Jazz, Comedy, Auftritte berühmter Künstler, Kunstausstellungen, mehrere Theater und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Viele Spazier-und Wanderwege findet man in der Nähe ebenfalls. Im Sommer bieten mehrere Badeseen und Erlebnisschwimmbäder in der Umgebung eine willkommene Abwechslung.
Von uns aus sind es nur 40 Minuten bei guter Autobahnanbindung bis in die Allgäuer Berge mit der gesamten Bandbreite an touristischen Angeboten, 40 km nach Kempten, 70 km zum Bodensee, 60 km nach Ulm, 110 km nach München und 100 km nach Augsburg.
Unser Haus verfügt über 3 Stockwerke mit 2 Schlafräumen (ein weiteres Zimmer mit zusätzlicher Matratze nutzbar) und einem winzigen Garten. Vor dem Haus gibt es eine Spielfläche für Kinder zum Scooterfahren, eine Garage und einen weiteren Stellplatz. Unsere Fahrräder verleihen wir bei Interesse gerne und empfehlen schöne Rundwege.

About the neighborhood

Der Ort ist sehr ländlich, dafür gibt es in nächster Umgebung viel Natur und abwechslungsreiche Spaziergänge. Die 40000 Einwohner- Stadt Memmingen mit zahlreichen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und einer geschichtsreichen Altstadt ist 6 km entfernt.
Da wir nur eine rudimentäre Busanbindung haben, braucht man hier ein Auto. Einen Dorfladen mit Bäckerei und Metzgerei kann man jedoch auch mit dem Fahrrad erreichen.

Memmingen with its 40000 inhabitants is about 6 km away from the small village where our house is located. You should have a car for the bus connection is not so well. In Memmingen you can find both a lot of shopping facilities and a nice historic old town. A small shop with a bakery and a butchery you can reach with a bike.

Très bel échange dans la maison d'Iris et de sa famille. La Bavière est une région très intéressante à découvrir, nous avons apprécie notre séjour. Our stay in Holzgunz was great and we are definately home exchange addicts as it provides us extra values. Bavaria is such a beatiful region with a lot of sites to visit. Communication with Iris was nice and friendly. She provided a lot of useful information and advice. Their house is very clean and offers everything you need to spend a good holiday. Une très belle maison propre avec un grand jardin, dans une région où il y a plein de choses à découvrir. Nous y avons passé deux semaines formidables.
